As noted yesterday, tomorrow morning we'll be waking-up with the opportunity of fetching the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" arcade game from the late eighties. This game was responsible for crunching a lot of quarters of my allotted lunch money. For me, it was great to be able to play a fun (forget that first TMNT game on NES) and entertaining arcade title based on my favorite comic book and animated series at the time.
I am pretty anxious to see what 400 Microsoft points will give me this time around. I've been disappointed in the past with some arcade-to-Xbox Live conversions (namely Contra), but I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow's release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be a near-perfect arcade conversion that I can enjoy with friends and family.
In the meantime, here's the official press release:
This Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday, the classic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” are making a comeback.
Everyone’s favorite totally tubular turtles bring their radical ninja skills to Xbox LIVE Arcade. The 1989 arcade classic, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” will be available for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 beginning Wednesday, March 14 at 0900 GMT (2 a.m. PDT).

Gamers will have the unique opportunity to play through the original seven levels alone, or with up to three others co-operatively via Xbox LIVE.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will be available worldwide for 400 Microsoft Points.
